Pasco County: “The victim was on his cell phone, he was texting. We believe he was making some kind of noise. This noise led to an altercation between the suspect and the victim,” Sheriff Chris Nocco explained.
A witness recalled hearing the victim say he was texting his 3-year-old daughter before the man behind him pulled out a pistol and shot the texting man, and his wife.
“Their voices start going up, there seems to be a confrontation, somebody throws popcorn, then bang, he was shot,” the witness — a former Marine — said. “He staggered two seats over, fell on my son and I.”36 Comments
Denver, CO: Proud parents Wayne Sperling, 66, and Lorinda Bailey, 35, are facing multiple felony child abuse counts after authorities found their four children malnourished, surrounded by feces and only able to communicate via grunting sounds. Poilice described the scene as having a “strong odor” of what an officer described as “decomposing animal” emanating from the children’s room; feces throughout the home along with “one to two inches of cat feces, both old and new, under the children’s bunk bed”; a wood floor soaked through with cat urine; floors of the apartment littered with “dead flies” and living flies that covered every surface.
Wellington, FL: David Belson, 50, is accused of grabbing a teenage girl and slamming her head against a door several times after an argument about hard-boiled eggs.
Longs, SC: A Longs man was arrested over the weekend after police said he sexually assaulted a 9-year-old girl.
According to an Horry County police report, officers were called Saturday about a sexual assault incident in the Longs area that happened Thursday. Witnesses told police George Martin, Jr., 29, urinated in the yard in front of three girls and then later that night placed his genitals on the face of a 9-year-old girl while she was sleeping. Two other girls witnessed the act and said Martin laughed and joked while doing it.
Martin is charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor, 1st degree and indecent exposure. He is currently being held at the J Reuben Long Detention Center.15 Comments
